This peel was spotted in Val’s friend’s rental car back in June. “She left it there a couple days,” Val reported.

Peels behind bars: spotted July 13 at Point Lobos Walgreens.
August 10: The peels later escaped and clustered on the corner of Geary and 42nd Avenue, where they remained for weeks until somebody came and swept them up.

Curled like a dead spider… Horrible.
But there is something especially nightmarish about this bloated specimen, spotted mere inches away in the same patch of grass, at the foot of a withered tree.
