One of a series of pen-and-ink drawings by Henrik Jones, “The Grimace” vanished after the artist’s death in 1993.
It resurfaced at Nan Franklin’s garage sale this past weekend, priced at 25 cents.”I always thought it was a portrait of Grandmother Franklin,” said Nan, when neighbor Hal said he had a hunch it might be the long-lost sketch. “Do you think 25 cents is too low?”
Hal’s response: “No, no, it’s a fair price. I’ll take it!”
